The Midden-Brabant Library in ‘s-Hertogenbosch is offering various activities on artificial intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT in 2025. These workshops and lectures are aimed at a broad audience, from students to adults, and help participants understand the impact of AI in daily life and the workplace. Attendees will learn how to use AI effectively and responsibly, including practical exercises and discussions on ethical aspects. A highlight is the introduction of Ami, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot, which will be on display at the AI expo starting from 12 December 2024 at the Discovery Museum.

La Bibliothèque Midden-Brabant à ‘s-Hertogenbosch propose en 2025 diverses activités sur l’intelligence artificielle (IA) et ChatGPT. Ces ateliers et conférences sont destinés à un large public, des lycéens aux adultes, et aident à comprendre l’impact de l’IA dans la vie quotidienne et au travail. Les participants apprennent comment utiliser efficacement et responsablement l’IA, y compris des exercices pratiques et des discussions sur les aspects éthiques. Un point fort est la présentation d’Ami, le robot humanoïde le plus avancé au monde, qui sera visible lors de l’expo IA à partir du 12 décembre 2024 au Discovery Museum.

After being on loan for more than 18,000 days, the book ‘The Shot in Sarajevo’ by Sven Ulric Palme has recently been returned to Bibliotheek Amstelland. The book, originally borrowed in 1974, was found among the deceased borrower’s possessions. The library will give the book a special place without charging any late fees. This unique incident highlights the enduring bond between libraries and their readers.

Après plus de 18 000 jours de prêt, le livre ‘Le coup de feu à Sarajevo’ de Sven Ulric Palme a récemment été rendu à la Bibliothèque d’Amstelland. Le livre, initialement emprunté en 1974, a été découvert dans l’héritage de l’emprunteur. La bibliothèque donnera une place spéciale au livre sans demander de pénalité pour retard. Cet incident unique montre la durée de la relation entre les bibliothèques et leurs lecteurs.

Na meer dan 18.000 dagen te zijn uitgeleend, is het boek ‘Het schot in Serajewo’ van Sven Ulric Palme recent teruggebracht bij de Bibliotheek Amstelland. Het boek, dat oorspronkelijk in 1974 uitgeleend was, werd gevonden in de nalatenschap van de lener. De bibliotheek zal het boek een bijzondere plek geven, zonder te-laat-boete te vragen. Dit unieke incident laat zien hoe lang de band tussen bibliotheken en lezers kan zijn.
