ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, has quietly launched a new AI chatbot named Cici. The app, based on the popular Chinese chatbot Doubao, is already being promoted by several influencers in countries such as the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Indonesia. Cici offers conversations, image generation, and audio chat, but lacks some advanced features of Doubao. The launch comes at a time when competition in the AI market is intensifying and ByteDance is seeking new ways to expand its user base.

L’application, basée sur la populaire chatbot chinoise Doubao, est déjà promue par plusieurs influenceurs dans des pays tels que le Royaume-Uni, le Mexique et l’Indonésie. Cici offre des conversations, la génération d’images et des échanges vocaux, mais manque de certaines fonctionnalités avancées de Doubao. Le lancement intervient alors que la concurrence sur le marché de l’IA s’intensifie et que ByteDance cherche de nouvelles façons d’élargir sa base d’utilisateurs.

Cici biedt conversaties, afbeeldingen genereren en audiochat, maar mist enkele geavanceerde functies van Doubao.
