Regional broadcasters embrace AI for better journalism and audience reach

Renzo Veenstra will become the interim editor-in-chief at the Limburg broadcaster L1, where he can apply his experience from Omroep Brabant to use AI technology more effectively for news gathering, analysis and production. At the same time, smaller content creators are faced with new rules from the Commissariat voor de Media to combat disinformation, in which AI plays a crucial role.

Renzo Veenstra devient rédacteur en chef par intérim de la chaîne de télévision régionale L1 en Limbourg, où il peut mettre à profit son expérience acquise chez Omroep Brabant pour utiliser plus efficacement la technologie de l’IA pour la collecte, l’analyse et la production d’informations. Parallèlement, les créateurs de contenu plus petits sont confrontés à de nouvelles réglementations de l’Autorité des médias pour lutter contre la désinformation, où l’IA joue un rôle essentiel.
